The Library. When was the Last Time You Went?

Published by gypsyblue at 2:35 am under Uncategorized Edit This

I visited my local library recently.

One thing I noticed is that there are very few people there.  Granted all the computer lab seats are filled, but people actually looking at books.  Not many at all.  It’s very disheartening.  With the Internet and with so much information virtually at our fingertips, no one seems to bother with the library anymore.

I have very fond memories of the library when I was a child.  I was always awestruck when I was around so many books.  It was so amazing.  I will never forget the warm feeling that it gave me.  I learned many things at the library.  All the learning activities and all about the Dewy Decimal System.  Does anyone even know about that anymore?  I wonder…

The library was and still is a great source of comfort for me.  It’s alot of fun when my husband and I just take off and go to the library and look for books..  Even sitting in there and reading together.  It is so intimate and so ultra cool!  Just like a date! It is the perfect thing to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon.  Or whenever…

The library can be a great social event as well.  Just grab a coffee and tell a few friends to meet you there.  It is great.  Alot of people have lost site of the awesome local public library.

I encourage you to go and re-visit the library.  You will be glad you did.

Remember…  Life is ART
